Teenage brain workshop at the Association of Science Education Annual Conference

A team from MYRIAD attended the Association of Science Education Annual Conference in Birmingham on 12th January to run a workshop on the teenage brain. Catherine Crane (Senior Researcher) gave an overview of our research, which was followed by an interactive workshop to try out some of the activities designed for the public engagement work we are undertaking in our trial schools. Delegates tested their sustained attention skills, determined their propensity for risk taking, tried out an emotional Stroop test, and found out how good they are at delaying gratification. Feedback is being used to help develop legacy resources available to our participating schools.
